Subject: MAINTENANCE LEVEL

Your info suggests that maintenance level is an individual basis. I’m not very good at reading my body’s signals, so what would you suggest as a typical maintenance level?

Thanks

Reply:
If you are 200 lbs or less and do not suffer from any specific ailments a good maintenance level is 1 serving a day. Add 1 additional serving if you suffer from any health ailment. If you are greater than 200 lbs you should also add 1 additional serving. I hope this information was helpful.

Subject: Red Wine Extract

Hi,

I have a friend who asked you about the red Wine Extract... Some sites say that Redwine mentioned on your bottle is actually just a type of red grapes, but then on other places it says that the actual alcoholic red wine drink was at some point involved in the making of OPC.

In my religion, there is a concern whether the Alcoholic Drink "Red Wine" was involved in the making of this product, even though we know the end result doesn't have alcohol.

Can you clarify weather the alcoholic drink has anything to do with the making of this product, or it's just the red wine grape, or I know there is also red wine which is alcohol free that could have been the one used.

If you can ask the best person who will know the details on this, it would be great.

Thanks.

I took some extra time today to speak to our Red Wine Extract supplier so I could fully understand the process by which the Red Wine Extract is made. Here is what I found:

The Red Wine extract is actually short for Red Wine Marc Extract. Red Wine Extract is made from Grape Marc or the skins, seeds and grape leaves that the wineries do not want in their wine products. This is what they discard after the crushing of the Red Wine Grapes and then further process into a “Red Wine Marc Extract”.

As it turns out the Grape Marc is what contains some of the most powerful antioxidants. The “Red Wine extract” is made from the Grape Marc, which as I noted is the skins and seeds that the wineries don't want in their end product. So the “Red Wine extract” and the fermenting of the grape juice into Red Wine are two entirely different processes.

Thank you for the opportunity to research this more thoroughly. We will be certain to add this to the FAQ section of our website.

Best of health,
